<p>An exciting opportunity exists for a professional and highly motivated individual to join our passionate and committed teaching team. Playford College is an Islamic school and serves the communities of the Northern Suburbs with over 450 enrolments from Foundation to Year 12.  Our teaching team strives to learn and grow together and support each other’s unique gifts and talents so that we can best meet the needs of our students and their families. </p><p> <b>Personal Requirements: </b></p><p>The successful applicant must: </p><p>• Be registered to teach in South Australia holding current Responding to Abuse and Neglect, First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training certificates </p><p>• Demonstrate and maintain a strong commitment to the ethos and values of Playford College </p><p>• Understand and demonstrate the importance of positive and productive relationships with students and their families </p><p>• Be able to maintain control of students through the effective yet fair application of behaviour management strategies in line with the school’s Behaviour Management Policy </p><p>• Be open to change and approach challenges with flexibility, possessing a growth mindset </p><p>• Show a genuine love, concern and devotion to meeting the needs of students from diverse backgrounds </p><p>• Demonstrate a capacity to receive feedback and make necessary adjustments to modify practice where necessary </p><p>• Be prepared to undertake additional professional development as required </p><p> </p><p><b>Skills, Attributes &amp; Responsibilities: </b></p><p>The successful applicant will: </p><p>• Contribute effectively to the teaching team with a spirit of collaboration and support which is not limited to but includes: </p><ol><li>Weekly shared planning time with the teaching/planning partners </li><li>Unit planning, assessment and moderation of student work </li><li>Attendance at staff meetings </li><li>Meeting deadlines </li><li>Willingness to work on sub committees from time to time i.e. Sports Day, school concert etc. </li><li>Demonstrate knowledge of, and experience in, the use of the Australian Curriculum.</li></ol><p>• Possess high level organisational skills </p><p>• Possess the capacity to approach colleagues, students and parents with respect, calmness and integrity </p><p>• Use IT confidently and competently for day to day teaching and learning, planning, assessment, administration and reporting </p><p>• Provide age and skill appropriate tuition across non-specialist subject / key learning areas </p><p>• Demonstrate a capacity to adapt teaching strategies and plans to suit diverse needs and learning styles </p><p>• Prepare clear and suitable year, term and weekly lesson overviews and plans </p><p>• Undertake appropriate and sufficient assessment of student progress </p><p>• Keep accurate records of student achievement and provide suitable reports to parents </p><p>• Provide and appropriate communication with parents/caregivers </p><p> </p><p><b>Relationships: </b></p><p>Positive and productive relationships are core elements in any school.
