<p><b>The Opportunity </b></p><p>Multi skilled, enthusiastic and science passionate individuals are strongly encouraged to apply for this exciting ongoing full time Laboratory Technician opportunity, within a supportive and Catholic school environment. In this varied and rewarding role, you will be responsible for delivering a high level of scientific expertise to support and enhance student learning outcomes within the College’s Science Faculty. The role provides technical assistance, expertise and administration support to teachers regarding laboratory processes, health and safety requirements and resource management in the delivery of science programs. </p><p>Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and in accordance with the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2018. </p><p><b>About You </b></p><p>As a Laboratory Technician at St Patrick’s College you will have: </p><ul><li>Significant experience in laboratory work and coordinating a laboratory; </li><li>Genuine passion in the Science field and desire to support the education of young people in a Catholic environment; </li><li>Highly effective administrative and decision-making skills, with the ability to work autonomously and collegially in a team environment; </li><li>Efficient knowledge of relevant safety and scientific information, with the ability to communicate this knowledge effectively with teaching staff and students; </li><li>A flair for creativity, with a flexible and adaptable approach to your work; </li><li>Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a busy and fast paced environment; </li><li>Diploma of Laboratory Technology or equivalent. </li></ul><p>CET supports the rights of children and young people and is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment directed at ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
