We are currently seeking a Credit Officer who will be responsible for controlling and managing an assigned Debtors portfolio. This role will work closely with the Assistant Business Manager and other Finance Team members to ensure that outstanding debt is kept to a minimum.

<p>St Francis Xavier College is a Catholic College with enrolments of over 3,300 students for 2022 and will continue to grow in 2023. </p><p>The College serves families from the parishes of Berwick, Koo Wee Rup/Maryknoll/Iona, Narre Warren and Pakenham under the governance of Diocese of Sale Catholic Education Limited (DOSCEL). </p><p>St Francis Xavier College is easily accessed via several major freeways – only 20 minutes from Springvale Road on the M1. </p><p>We are currently seeking a Credit Officer who will be responsible for controlling and managing an assigned Debtors portfolio. This role will work closely with the Assistant Business Manager and other Finance Team members to ensure that outstanding debt is kept to a minimum. </p><p>The successful candidate will be employed on a full-time ongoing contract and will be based at the Beaconsfield campus. </p><p><b>Key responsibilities include: </b></p><ul><li>Review Debtors Trial Balance periodically </li><li>Contact families who have an outstanding balance </li><li>Monitor debtor payment history by month for non-payments outside of prior approved arrangements </li><li>Contact all families not on a payment plan or with a prior approved arrangement to create a direct debit/centre pay arrangement </li><li>Record all debtor communication into Synergetic, including phone call notes, emails etc. </li><li>Enter arrangements made with families into Synergetic to enable follow up and reporting </li><li>Filing, scanning and archiving as required </li><li>Manage the fees inbox </li><li>Maintaining confidentiality regarding the financial data and information of the College </li><li>Monthly reports as required for Finance report preparation </li><li>Duties as required and directed by the Principal, Business Manager and Assistant Business Manager </li></ul><p><b>To excel in this position, you will have the following skills, experience and attributes: </b></p><ul><li>Solid experience in a similar role </li><li>Business/Finance Qualification (Advantageous) </li><li>Experience using Synergetic (Advantageous) </li><li>General financial knowledge </li><li>Excellent attention to detail </li><li>Ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with suppliers </li><li>Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel </li><li>Can adapt quickly to change and prioritise workload </li><li>Interpersonal skills to relate professionally with internal and external stakeholders </li><li>Commitment to excellence in customer service </li><li>Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team </li><li>Commitment to occupational health and safety </li><li>An understanding of and commitment to Catholic education </li></ul><p>Staff are employed under the Victorian Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement 2018.
