St Francis Xavier College is a place where everyone in the community is encouraged to learn, to grow and to work towards a brighter future.</p> <p><strong><br>About the Role</strong></p> <p>The Senior Studies Coordinator is responsible for the supervision of the Senior Academic Program, management of the process that informs Senior students of pathways past Year 12 and working in partnership with the Year 11 and Year 12 Coordinator.</p> <p><br><strong>Essentia</strong><strong>l Criteria</strong></p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated competence as a teacher at a variety of year levels</li> <li>Relevant qualifications and recent study or professional development</li> <li>Appropriate professional qualifications and evidence of recent professional development in the areas of VET and Careers, including a current understanding of RTO, AQTF and BSSS requirements for VET and current trends in Career Education.</li> <li>Skills in curriculum development and a thorough understanding of the ACT BSSS requirements including moderation processes.</li> <li>A sound understanding of career options for Senior students, UAC and Interstate Tertiary applications</li> <li>The capacity to develop and maintain effective and supportive interpersonal relationships with students, colleagues and the school community to build meaningful community partnerships to support authentic learning opportunities for students</li> <li>A sound understanding of Catholic schools and a demonstrated commitment to the goals of Catholic education</li> </ul> <p><em>Please refer to the role description for an in-depth detail regarding criteria and skill set required.<br></em></p> <p><strong><br>Application Process</strong></p> <p>Applications are invited from interested candidates able to demonstrate a commitment to the vision of Catholic Education.</p> <p>Applicants are required to submit a cover letter and current resume including a statement of suitability against the skills, attributes and experience as outlined in the position description.</p> <p>This position involves working with children.
