<p><b>Senior Teacher 1 </b>- Remuneration Package $141,166 (including salary $122,220)<br /><b>Early Childhood Education and Care – Arnhem Region<br />Angurugu Groote Eylandt, Northern Territory<br />Full Time vacancy to 31/12/2023</b></p><p><b>Are you an experienced Early Childhood educator with a history of delivering high quality early childhood programs? Come experience all the Gulf of Carpentaria has to offer. </b></p><p>The Department of Education is committed to delivering a strong public education system that ensures equity and gives every child the opportunity to engage, grow and achieve. The Families as First Teachers (FaFT) program is an early learning and family support program for vulnerable and disadvantaged Aboriginal families with children prior to school entry (birth-3 years). </p><p>As a Family Educator you will work as part of the school with local Aboriginal staff and community to develop and deliver a range of place based programs for remote Aboriginal families and support their successful transition to preschool. You will deliver the Abecedarian Approach Australia (3a) program to enhance adult child interaction, improve educational outcomes for children in low socio-economic communities and enhance early learning and parenting. Working closely with Aboriginal communities you will build solid relationships and networks, foster a positive working environment and build capacity for enhanced performance. </p><p>To be successful, you require Early Childhood qualifications and/or demonstrated relevant experience in early childhood education, sound knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and issues impacting the early learning and development of Aboriginal children. Registration with the Reacher Registration Board of the Northern Territory and the capacity to bring an analytical and strategic approach to the delivery of programs is essential. </p><p>This is a great opportunity to experience life in the Arnhem Region.
