<p align="center"><strong>Principal Catholic Identity Officer</strong></p> <p><strong>Location:</strong> Manuka, Canberra<br><strong>Employment Type:</strong> Full-time, fixed term (first term, 3 year contract)<br><strong>Salary Range: </strong>Competitive executive salary<br><strong>Position number: </strong>498788<br><strong>Start Date:</strong> July 2022<br><strong>Closing Date: </strong>11.55pm, Sunday 5 June 2022</p> <p>Catholic Education, Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn (CECG) plays an integral role in education both in the ACT and NSW operating 56 Catholic Systemic Schools and eight Early Learning Centres.</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>Based in the CE Head Office in Manuka ACT, the Principal Catholic Identity Officer is responsible for the leadership, coordination, implementation and review of the Catholic Identity, Evangelisation, Faith Formation and Religious Education programs across CECG. In leading the Catholic Identity team, the incumbent will ensure the CECG vision and mission is the lived out across all facets of Catholic Education.<br><br><strong>Key responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Enhance the Catholic spirituality of our staff and our leaders through a variety of faith formation programs.</li> <li>Set strategic directions and provide leadership of Catholic Identity, Faith Formation and Religious Education programs.</li> <li>Support Religious Education leadership, in particular the Religious Education Coordinators through coaching, networking, professional and personal development opportunities.</li> <li>Promote and administer organisational processes such as Religious Education scholarships, accreditation, review and appointment of Religious Education Coordinators.</li> <li>Represent Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Catholic Education on local, state and national religious education bodies.</li> <li>Promote and enhance the liturgical and prayer life of the system. Coordinate Promotion Position&nbsp;performance review and contract renewal processes.</li> <li>Work collaboratively with CE Office colleagues to provide leadership and specialist advice to schools in Faith Formation and in Religious Education.</li> <li>Develop and renew the Religious Education Curriculum and pedagogy.</li> <li>Undertake other tasks at the direction of Deputy Director</li> <li>Contribute to policy design, review and update as required in line with legislation. Build collaborative relationships to ensure commitment to and cooperation in achieving Catholic Identity strategies and programs.</li> <li>Reporting and preparation of briefs for the Service Area Leadership Team and the Director.</li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p> <ul> <li>Developed internal consulting skills with strong business and education sector acumen.</li> <li>Extensive experience in religious education leadership.</li> <li>Proactive individual who can ensure quality and responsiveness of service in partnering with clients (schools and external stakeholders).</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills with ability to engage and deal effectively with people at all levels.</li> <li>Planning and organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.</li> <li>A team player with a flexible, adaptable and results orientated approach and the confidence to constructively challenge the status quo.</li> <li>Tertiary qualifications in Religious Education (or similar).</li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Benefits and Opportunities</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Attractive executive remuneration package with access to salary packaging</li> <li>Positive and collaborative work culture</li> <li>Relocation assistance available</li> <li>Opportunity to have an impact on system-wide religious education agenda<br><br></li> </ul> <p><em>Please refer to the position description for an in-depth detail regarding position duties, criteria and skill set required.<br><br></em><strong>Application Process</strong></p> <p>Applicants will be required to submit a current resume and covering letter addressing the essential criteria outlined above and suitability to the position.
