Teachers within the Diocese are responsible to the Principal and share in the learning and teaching of subject matters to students of the school community. Teachers are responsible for delivering high quality contemporary learning and teaching for the community they serve which is embedded in the Catholic world view. It is a collaborative ministry of witness and service and part of the evangelising mission of the Church.

Working days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>More specifically you will:</strong></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Apply knowledge of students and how they learn, content knowledge, effective pedagogical practice and data to collaboratively plan and implement differentiated learning experiences that meet the physical, social and intellectual development and characteristics of students</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Constantly monitor and evaluate the impact of teaching upon student learning, as well as teaching students to become self-reflective and autonomous learners</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Actively promote and support the social and emotional development of children</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Model and explicitly teach communication, collaboration, teamwork, problem solving, creativity and critical thinking skills as children work purposefully in flexible learning spaces</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Use data to diagnose student strengths and barriers to learning, constantly challenging students to improve, as well as teaching students to use data to drive their own learning</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Purposefully incorporate digital literacy skills to enhance teaching and learning opportunities</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Create and maintain a safe, inclusive and challenging learning environment, using equitable processes to maintain a positive classroom ethos&nbsp;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Provide feedback and report on student learning, as well as supporting students to become autonomous learners who can share and reflect upon their learning together with parents and carers</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Promote links between school, home and the broader community&nbsp;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Be enthusiastic and adaptable, demonstrating a growth mindset and a&nbsp; commitment to ongoing professional learning</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>About you:</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment to the core purpose and values of Holy Spirit along with:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Tertiary Qualification in Education</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Statements of Service</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children Check clearance</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Superior classroom teaching skills which will enable students with a diverse range of needs to achieve their full potential.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Sound knowledge of and commitment to our Catholic faith and mission in Catholic education.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Interested?</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">This position involves working with children.
