The Towards 2025 Strategy commits our system of schools to being at least as good as the very best, to maximise the learning growth of every student, and to inspire hearts and minds to know Christ and love learning. </p><p>Covering an expansive geographical area which includes the Central Coast, Sydney’s Northern Beaches and North Shore, Catholic Schools Broken Bay is a system serving 44 Catholic Schools with around 17,000 students from Kindergarten to Year 12. </p><p>As part of reimagining the Evangelisation and Catechesis Workstream at Catholic Schools Broken Bay, we will have a number of roles currently advertised.</p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p><b>The Role </b></p><p>Reporting to the Senior Lead: Catechesis, we are seeking an experienced educator who has expertise in leading year 7 to 12 in Religious Education. As the Learning Partner – Catechesis 7 to 12, you will be supporting class teachers of Religious Education in implementing the Catholic Schools Broken Bay new approach to 7-10 Religious Education. As a credible and gifted communicator, you will also provide pivotal support to teachers and students in Stage 6 Religious Education and help shape the culture of collaborative continuous improvement across CSBB. </p><p>Key role responsibilities: </p><ul><li>Leads, designs and implements innovative changes to the Catholic Schools Broken Bay 7-10 RE curriculum and related initiatives aligned to Towards 2025 </li><li>Implements and supports schools to embed the new RE curriculum (7-10) and adopt contemporary teaching techniques across 7-12 learning settings </li><li>Builds the capacity of teachers and leaders of RE through coaching and other professional learning mediums as they implement the new curriculum </li><li>Strategically partners with school leadership teams to support collaborative coaching in CSBB schools </li><li>Establishes and leads professional learning groups pre and post implementation of the new curriculum rollout </li><li>Connects with CSYMA to integrate into K-12 curriculum pathways </li><li>Drives excellence in teaching of SOR/SICT curriculum across CSBB Secondary schools </li><li>Leads and/or actively contributes to initiatives focused on the effective use of data to improve system and school performance and student learning </li><li>Leads data analysis and reporting at a system level to make evidence informed decisions about the effectiveness and future directions of initiatives, projects and programs and drive school and system performance and improvement </li><li>Identifies and applies metrics to identify quality teaching and support the ongoing professional growth of teachers </li><li>Effectively leads, communicates and collaborates with project teams to implement the broad strategic vision </li><li>Collaborates with key stakeholders to ensure decision making takes in varying perspectives and is evidence informed </li><li>Contributes to a work environment built on trust and models professional standards and behaviour </li></ul><p><br /></p><p><b>About You </b></p><p>As the ideal candidate you will meet the following key requirements: </p><ul><li>A clear understanding of, and personal commitment to the Catholic ethos </li><li>Previous experience as a Lead Teacher or Teacher of Religious Education in a secondary school </li><li>Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills </li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high quality work </li><li>Have a deep knowledge of the 7-12 Religious Education Syllabus </li><li>Previously demonstrated leadership experience in a team environment </li><li>Tertiary qualifications in Theology/Religious Leadership </li><li>HALT accredited or demonstrated proficiency to work at Lead Teacher level </li><li>Valid Working with Children Check</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><b>Benefits of Working with Us </b></p><p>An attractive salary on offer, onsite parking or public transport within close proximity, generous leave entitlements and the opportunity to join Catholic Schools Broken Bay as we undertake our Towards 2025 strategy.</p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p><b>Application Process </b></p><p>Applications should include: </p><ul><li>A cover letter of no more than two pages addressing why you are interested in the role and addressing the criteria listed above. </li><li>A current resume. </li></ul><p>Applications should be sent directly to careers&#64;dbb.catholic.edu.au </p><p>Applications Close on Sunday 22 May 2022.</p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p><b>Enquiries </b></p><p>If you have any enquiries about this role, please do not hesitate to contact Jennifer Tiglao in the Talent team on 0458 025 976 or via email careers&#64;dbb.catholic.edu.au </p><p>Agencies, please note that unsolicited resumes for this position will not be considered.</p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p><i>Catholic Schools Broken Bay promotes a culture of safety and care for children and young people.
