This is a Maternity Leave position commencing Term 3 2022 to end of Term 2 2023. English Stages 4 - 5 possibly including Drama. Wattle Grove is 2 minutes from the M5 Heathcote Rd Exit.

The College is willing to support New Scheme and early graduates within this exciting opportunity. </p><p><b>Key Responsibilities </b></p><p>• Deliver quality teaching and learning experiences for students that develop deep understanding through exploring the conceptual and general capabilities inherent in and across English </p><p>• Build learning relationships through employing restorative practices </p><p>• Display a commitment to continued professional growth through self-reflection and further learning </p><p>• Have an understanding of reflective practice and constantly refine pedagogy for the delivery of quality teaching and learning </p><p><b>Additional Responsibilities </b></p><p>• Deliver the English curriculum in a dynamic way in the classroom, using initiative in bringing fresh and creative ideas to the curriculum </p><p>• Show an expertise in explicit and scaffolded learning, to help in the development skills pertinent to the English KLA </p><p>• Provide students with clear and fair assessment, including the provision of regular, meaningful feedback, in a timely manner. </p><p>• Preparedness to engage with the English Department’s teaching and learning framework, including safe and supportive environment, explicit and intentioned instruction, deep understanding and assessment of and for learning. </p><p>• Actively drive and be part of a reading culture amongst students and members of your Faculty </p><p>• A commitment to your own ongoing professional development and growth </p><p>• Show initiative in the integration of ICT into the learning program </p><p>• Uphold the Christian teachings of the College, encouraging students to serve others and explore Christ</p><p><b>Skills / Knowledge / Attributes </b></p><p>• Knowledge of relevant subject content </p><p>• Excellent organisation and planning skills; must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities within strict deadlines </p><p>• Work ethic reflecting a commitment to excellence in teaching and a passion for student learning </p><p>• Proven ability to effectively engage students </p><p>• Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with other teachers, and work as part of a team</p><p> </p><p><b>Please submit a cover letter and CV (maximum 3 pages) to: </b><b>recruit&#64;stmarks.nsw.edu.au</b></p><p><b> </b></p>
