St Dominic’s College, Penrith is a Catholic school in the Blessed Edmund Rice tradition conducted by Edmund Rice Education Australia. Founded by the Christian Brothers, the College has an enrolment of 1000 students, Years 7 – 12. <p>St Dominic&#39;s College is looking to appoint a passionate full time, temporary HSIE Teacher who is committed to delivering quality teaching and learning experiences. The position will commence during Term 2, 2022 for the remainder of the 2022 College year.</p><p>The role involves face-to-face teaching HSIE, Business Studies and Commerce<br /></p><p> </p><p>The successful applicant will be committed to the advancement of student learning and;<br /></p><ul><li>Must have a strong commitment and/or appreciation of Catholic values, morals and faith. </li><li>Will be able to provide students with a positive learning environment, utilising strong communication and inter-personal skills. </li><li>Will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the unique pastoral needs of young men. </li><li>Must have a strong work ethic and a commitment to ongoing professional development. </li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Highly desirable criteria:<br /></p><ul><li>Experience teaching HSIE subjects. </li><li>Experience teaching Business Studies and Commerce. </li><li>Ability to teach Economics is an advantage. <br /></li><li>High ICT skillset within a contemporary blended learning environment.<br /></li><li>Demonstrated passion for student-centred learning and a proven ability to effectively engage students. </li><li>Excellent organisation and planning skills; must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities within given deadlines. </li><li>Be actively involved in, and supportive of, College co-curricular activities. </li></ul><p>Applicants are encouraged to visit the College website www.stdominics.nsw.edu.au for further information about the College. </p><p>Inquiries for the position can be directed to the Human Resources Manager, Melissa Gorham via hr&#64;stdominics.nsw.edu.au<br /></p><p><br /></p><p>Applications should include: </p><ul><li>A covering letter addressing the highly desirable criteria (1 page max.)</li><li>Accreditation status with NESA</li><li>NSW Working With Children Clearance number and date of birth </li><li>Current COVID-19 vaccination certificate </li><li>Current curriculum vitae, detailing professional qualifications </li><li>Name and contact details for three (3) referees, including your current employer (where applicable)</li></ul>
