<p><b>FULL-TIME | SALARY RANGE $ 105,961 - $109,232 P.A. PLUS SUPER </b></p><p><b>18 MONTHS CONTRACT| COMMENCING 18 JULY 2022 </b></p><p>An exciting opportunity exists for an Occupational Therapist working with regional and remote schools in the Northern Territory. The position is based in Darwin Catholic Education Office. </p><p>The Occupational Therapist provides services to Catholic Education schools of the Northern Territory as part of the multidisciplinary Inclusion Support Services team. The position is responsible for providing information and support to students, schools, families and other agencies using a Response to Intervention (RtI) framework to enable students’ occupational performance and participation within a range of school and community settings. </p><p>Key responsibilities: </p><p>• Facilitate professional development activities related to Occupational Therapy to build the capability of school staff and Inclusion Support Services colleagues. </p><p>• Support schools to provide inclusive classrooms and spaces (e.g. sensory/engine rooms and transition spaces), and relevant programs (e.g. sensory pathways, gross and fine motor programs) for all students and students with additional needs. </p><p>• Undertake formal and informal Occupational Therapy assessments, produce high-quality reports and maintain accurate records. </p><p>• Support schools in the development of effective Educational Adjustment Plans (EAPs). </p><p>• Assist to identify needs and appropriate referral pathways for students. </p><p>• Liaise with schools, agencies and the wider community to promote inclusion and evidence-based interventions for students with Occupational Therapy needs. </p><p>This position may involve working with children. The appointment of the successful applicant will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment with legislation. </p><p>CENT employees are subject to the COVID-19 directions issued by the Northern Territory’s Chief Health Officer (CHO). CHO has mandated that key workers are required to be vaccinated to attend the workplace.
