The role of the Head of Flexible Learning Practice is to work with young people and their families, colleagues and community organisations and stakeholders to build young person voice and agency through Operation by Principles with a value of Common Ground.

<p><b>Head of Flexible Learning Practice </b></p><ul><li><b>Status &amp; Employment Type:</b> Full Time Fixed Term (Includes a 6 month probation period) </li><li><b>Job Duration:</b> 4 &#43; 4 Years (based on successful review) </li></ul><p>Southport Flexible Learning Centre is a coeducational Catholic school in the Edmund Rice tradition. It has a clear commitment to social justice and stands in solidarity with disadvantaged people of all social, cultural and religious backgrounds with a particular sensitivity to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture. We endeavour to employ people that have the drive and motivation to work towards successful outcomes for our young people. </p><p><b>What is the role? </b></p><p>The role of the Head of Flexible Learning Practice is to work with young people, families, colleagues, community organisations and stakeholders to build young person voice and agency through the use of the school principles and a common ground approach. </p><p>The successful candidate will lead and build capacity within staff to work in a trauma informed relational way. This will include working in line with the philosophy and practice of the school through the use of school principles, building relationships, working agreements and developing a strong positive learning community. </p><p><b><i>This position would be well suited to candidates with a background as a senior youth worker or similar.
