Waikerie Lutheran Primary School are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our team leading the financial and business administration functions of the school. The position is a member of the Leadership Team and reports directly to the Principal.

<p><b>This position encompasses outcomes under the Key Result Areas of: </b></p><p><b>• Business and Financial Management </b></p><p><b>• Personnel/HR Management </b></p><p><b>• Systems and Record Management </b></p><p><b>• Risk Management and Compliance </b></p><p><b>• Property and Project Management </b></p><p><br /></p><p><u>Essential Skills and Qualifications:</u></p><p>• Personal commitment to the School Vision, Mission and values underpinning the delivery of a Christian-based education, and a willingness to support and promote the Christian ethos of the School. </p><p>• Proven experience and successful strategic management skills in complex business environments (desirable). </p><p>• Strong financial acumen, including budgetary knowledge, cost skills, risks management, forecasting and project related activities. </p><p>• The capacity to supervise, mentor, support and lead all personnel to reach their potential and deliver upon their respective position descriptions. </p><p>• An up-to-date knowledge of ICT and the capacity to effectively manage and develop the School’s electronic information management systems (desirable). </p><p>• Experience preparing annual financial statements in accordance with approved Accounting Standards, and the capacity to undertake all tasks required for compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. </p><p>• The ability to manage property assets including capital development and ongoing maintenance. </p><p>• Diploma qualification in Business Administration, Accounting or similar. </p><p>• Certificate in Governance and Risk Management or similar (desirable). </p><p>• Experience in a school environment (highly desirable). </p><p>• An understanding of the IB educational philosophy (desirable). </p><p>• Ability to obtain a Working with Children Check. </p><p>• Willingness to undertake Valuing Safe Communities and Connect training as required for accreditation to work in a Lutheran Education Australia learning community.</p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p><b>Waikerie Lutheran Primary School </b></p><p><b>• regards its child protection responsibilities with the utmost importance and as such is committed to ensuring compliance with all relevant child protection laws and regulations and maintaining a child safe culture.</b></p><p><b>• requires all employees to be responsible for their own safety behaviour and to adhere to safe work practices. </b></p><p><b>• values diversity and adheres to Equal Opportunity legislation. </b></p><p><br /></p><p>The successful candidate will be suitably experienced, will honour the Christian ethos and possess the ability to implement the School&#39;s values, policies, practices and objectives. </p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
