We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Part-Time Employment Relations / Industrial Relations Advisor to join our People & Culture team.

<p><b>Location: </b>Catholic Education Office, Diocese of Parramatta</p><p dir="ltr"><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">We are currently seeking a permanent part-time ER/IR Advisor to join our HR Operations team, working three days a week, with the flexibility to work from home and the office. Reporting to the Employment Relations Manager you will provide high quality advice to staff and leaders relating to enterprise agreement interpretation, legislation (e.g. Fair Work Act), misconduct, grievances, entitlements and HR policies. The role will also support change management programs, in particular with the implementation of our HRIS (Success Factors) and you will support activities across our enterprise bargaining activities.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p dir="ltr">The variety of this role includes:</p> <p dir="ltr">&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Providing accurate and timely advice to employees and leaders in relation to general employee relations and industrial relations matters e.g. HR policy, discipline and grievance processes, employee performance, conduct matters, staff entitlements under employment law or industrial instruments, employment contracts, enterprise agreement interpretation and advice&nbsp;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Partnering with Leaders across the organisation to provide timely and accurate support and advice</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Supporting across HR policy governance and development, enterprise bargaining activities, process improvement initiatives and change management</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Managing the relationship with third parties such as trade unions on employee matters&nbsp;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Supporting HR Leaders through conciliation processes&nbsp;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Collaborating and partnering with other People &amp; Culture teams to resolve issues</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Ensuring effective records management, data integrity, reporting and analytics</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">&nbsp;</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Ideal Candidate</strong></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Demonstrated experience in an Employment Relations Advisor or an Industrial Relations Advisor role or similar&nbsp;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Knowledge of employment law and industrial instruments&nbsp;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Ability to work independently while being able to build collaborative relationships to develop, maintain and strengthen partnerships across the organisation</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Ability to adapt to change, seeing it as an opportunity and creating positive outcomes&nbsp;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Tertiary qualifications in employment relations, Human Resources or similar discipline&nbsp;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Previous experience supporting enterprise bargaining activities&nbsp;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Proven experience working with various HRIS platforms would be ideal but not essential (Success Factors would be an advantage)</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Exceptional written and verbal communication skills</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Working With Children Check (for paid work)</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">&nbsp;</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>What's in it for you?</strong></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Salary Packaging</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Hybrid/Flexible working environment</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Wellbeing Programs</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Professional Development</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Parental Leave</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Supportive Culture</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">&nbsp;</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Interested?</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta (CEDP) has more than 5000 passionate employees located across its 80 primary and secondary schools.
