We are seeking a supportive teacher of Year 4 to commence 13 June 2022
St John's is a two stream school inclusive school with highly engaged students. We have a positive psychology approach and incorporate explicit teaching of executive function skills so that our students thrive. Our school pedagogy is based on the Gradual Release of Responsibility and active learning within a high EALD setting.
<p><b>About you
</b></p><p>As an enthusiastic and committed educator you will be passionate about life-long learning and value working in a team environment. This is a permanent, full-time position teaching Year 4, commencing 13 June 2022.
</p><p>The successful applicant will demonstrate:
</p><ul><li>knowledge of and commitment to the Mission of the Catholic School
</li><li>ability to work collaboratively and effectively with grade partner
</li><li>commitment to excellence as a classroom teacher with high expectations for student learning
</li><li>skills in catering for students of different abilities and needs
</li><li>knowledge of EAL/D pedagogy
</li><li>willingness to applying professional learning into classroom practice
</li><li>enthusiasm to be part of a school with a focus on building community.
</li></ul><p>You will have attained:
</p><ul><li>a Tertiary qualification in Education
</li><li>eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
</li><li>Religious Education qualification according to SACS Board Policy
