<h4><b>(Casual) </b></h4><p>Wenona is seeking dynamic and passionate the following Performing Arts Tutors join our school’s outstanding Performing Arts faculty based in North Sydney, NSW and inspire our young women through dynamic teaching practice, refined professional knowledge and a commitment to high performance. </p><ul><li>Drama and Speech</li><li>Lower Brass</li><li>Voice</li><li>Violin</li><li>Accompanist / Percussionist<br /></li><li>Dance</li></ul><p>At Wenona, we have an obligation to our profession to ensure the highest quality educational outcomes for our students. We expect our teachers to be committed to their own professional development and to want to make a contribution to the broader educational community. </p><h4>Key priorities </h4><ul><li>Teaching weekly lessons to students from Junior to Senior School age.</li><li>Studio teaching for Music, and Drama and Speech (private lessons)</li><li>Classroom instrumental groups (Mondays)</li><li>Potential for conducting and preparing a weekly music ensemble.</li><li>Before school, during and after-school teaching times, available depending on both tutor availability and allocation of students.</li><li>Availability to cover after school Dance classes</li></ul><h4>Education and Experience </h4><ul><li>Qualifications and experience in teaching individual lessons to both Junior and Senior school students (experience from Kindergarten to Year 12 is desirable)</li><li>Ensemble and Instrumental Program teaching desirable (music tutors)</li><li>Strong working knowledge of AMEB curriculum (music)</li><li>Strong working knowledge of Trinity College London curriculum (drama and speech)</li><li>An understanding of and commitment to the educational needs of young women</li><li>An ability to use ICT to facilitate and enrich student learning and engagement beyond the classroom</li></ul><h4>Personal Attributes </h4><ul><li>A commitment to pastoral care and meeting the social and emotional wellbeing needs of students</li><li>A sense of humour.</li><li>An ongoing commitment to professional learning, including making a contribution to the broader education community</li><li>A willingness to contribute to the broader life of the school community</li></ul><p>In addition to teaching duties, staff are required to hold studio concerts and complete reports via the School’s reporting platform on individual students each semester. </p><h4>General Conditions of the Role</h4><h4><br /></h4><h4> </h4><p><b>Award:</b> Educational Services (Schools) General Staff Award 2020 </p><p><b>Classification</b>: Instructional Services </p><p><b>Hours of work</b>: Casual, part time.
