Learning Support Officer /Teacher's Aide Full-Time Position Commencing as soon as possible - by negotiation

As a co-educational K-12 dual campus, our College has been formed by the amalgamation in 2019 of the three All Saints’ schools and was incorporated into a single K-12 school entity on two sites, Liverpool and Casula, at the beginning of this year. Whilst 2020 brought the dawn of a newly-named school community, Catholic education in the area has a long and rich history. Initially being overseen by the lay of the All Saints’ Parish, education changed with the introduction of the charisms of the Sisters of Charity and the Patrician Brothers. The community continues to be shaped by the work of these religious orders today.</p><p> </p><p><b>About You:</b></p><p>We invite a suitably qualified Learning Support Officer to join our All Saints’ community on a temporary contract commencing as soon as possible/by negotiation. The preferred applicant demonstrates the following criteria:</p><p>- A deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic school within the broader Catholic Church</p><p>- Experience in working with small groups of students</p><p>- The capacity and commitment to work collaboratively with the Learning Support team, classroom teachers and students</p><p>- The capacity to assist individual students with special needs in the classroom</p><p>- The capacity to contribute to the preparation of documentation required under legislation in line with privacy and confidentiality obligations</p><p>- The capacity to contribute to course materials for special needs students.</p><p> </p><p>The following General Capabilities are applicable to the role:</p><p>- Strong verbal and written communication skills</p><p>- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment</p><p>- Strong organisational skills</p><p>- Certificate III in Education Support is highly desirable</p><p>- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)</p><p>- Sydney Catholic Schools’ employment number is desirable but not essential.</p><p> Applications can be addressed to Mr Daniel McInerney, Executive Principal K-12 (c/- rebecca.britten&#64;syd.catholic.edu.au), and should include a cover letter and resume including three referees who may be contacted as part of the shortlisting process.
