Applications are invited from suitably qualified Science teachers for the following full-time temporary position commencing as soon as possible in Term 1, 2022.
<p><b>Science Teacher</b></p><p><b>Temporary Full-Time Position</b></p><p><b>Terms 1-4, 2022 (maximum term)</b></p><p><b>Commencing as soon as possible in Term 1, 2022</b></p><p><b>Graduates are welcome to apply</b></p><p><b><br /></b></p><p><b> </b></p><p>We seek to appoint an innovative and skilled teacher with excellent communication skills and classroom experience. The successful applicant will have an understanding of the education of boys and co-education in senior years, knowledge of current developments in teaching and learning and a passion and enthusiasm for teaching. </p><p>The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate knowledge of, and experience in, the areas listed below:</p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p><b>Key duties and responsibilities: </b></p><p>• Ability to teach Science Stages 4-5; </p><p>• Assessing, providing feedback and reporting on student learning; </p><p>• Developing teaching programs across all stages preferred however not essential; </p><p>• Ability to implement new syllabi; </p><p>• Managing student behaviour; </p><p>• Sound pedagogical practices.</p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p><b>The successful applicant will: </b></p><p>• Demonstrate a clear understanding and commitment to the Mission of the Catholic School; </p><p>• Be supportive of the Lasallian ethos of the College; </p><p>• Adhere to the Colleges Safeguarding Standards and Child Protection policies and procedures; </p><p>• Be an experienced, innovative, and engaging team leader; </p><p>• Teach with excellence, professionalism, and commitment; </p><p>• Have an ability to relate to girls and boys with a practical knowledge of boy’s education issues and initiatives in the foundation years (Stage 4 and 5); </p><p>• Be committed to professional growth and development of excellence.</p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p>Oakhill College is committed to innovative high-quality teaching and learning and offers excellent facilities and resources.
