<p><b><u>The Position</u></b></p><p>Applications are invited for the position of Learning Diversity Leader from suitably qualified, highly motivated and innovative leaders with a passion for Catholic Education and the safety and wellbeing of children. Well organised, emotionally intelligent and in possession of excellent communication skills, the successful applicant will have a deep affinity for and understanding of primary education.</p><p>The Learning Diversity Leader works with the Learning and Teaching Leader in leading the development and implementation of support for students with diverse learning needs.</p><p>The Learning Diversity Leader has a key role in the interpretation and implementation of the NCCD (Nationally Consistent Collection of Data) and together with Teaching staff, Leadership Team and Learning Support Officers ensures engaging, high-quality teaching, meaningful learning and positive student outcomes for students with diverse learning needs is provided.</p><p>The Learning Diversity Leader plays a pivotal role at the school in the professional development and support of staff understanding and knowledge of inclusive pedagogy, contemporary strategies, evidence based practice and the requirements of the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data.</p><p>The start date for the successful candidate is to be negotiated for commencement in early 2022. Demonstrated understanding of state and national policies and curriculum in relation to inclusive teaching practices including, multi-tiered systems of support, NCCD and Response to Intervention to support the health, wellbeing, academic and/or behavioural needs of students. </p><p>2. Demonstrated successful experience in the development of contemporary, evidence based teaching and learning approaches including a broad range of assessments to inform adjustments for students with diverse learning needs. </p><p>3. Extensive experience in supporting leaders and teachers to select and develop strategies for assessment, targeted intervention and to provide adjustments for students with diverse learning needs. </p><p>4. Demonstrated evidence of well-developed oral and written communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders including, students, families, teachers, Learning Support Officers, school leaders and a range of external providers. </p><p>5. Demonstrated ability to produce, organise and deliver Professional Learning programs using online/blended modes of engagement, asynchronous learning and online modules. </p><p>6. Demonstrated ability to build the capability of teachers and leaders within schools in relation to inclusive teaching practices and curriculum provision for students with diverse learning needs (cognitive, behaviour, sensory, health, physical, social/emotional). </p><p>7. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, including: (i) demonstrate leadership and an ability to work collaboratively with school Leadership and staff teams; (iii) ability to operate effectively with external providers; (iiii) capacity to communicate effectively across a broad range of contexts. </p><p>8.
