The team brings together projects and activities that impact the College’s relationship with internal and external stakeholders, including marketing and communications, public relations, brand management, media and advertising, enrolments, alumni relations, fundraising, archives, major events and community relations. An integrated and dedicated approach to these activities ensures that the community is engaged and supports the College’s mission.<br /></p><p>The Development and Alumni Officer supports both the Director of Development, Marketing and Communications and the Sacred Heart Alumni Association committee. This role organises and manages events, builds networks, develops mentor programs, manages stakeholders, and creates communications that engage with the broad College and alumni communities.<br /></p><p>Please refer to the attached position description and College website for more information.<br /></p><p><b>About you</b><br /></p><p>You are creative and agile, demonstrating a capacity to think outside the box and drive development in the areas of events and alumni and community relations. Highly detail-oriented, you have the capacity to simultaneously manage and execute multiple projects and events at any one time.<br /></p><p>Self-directed and strategic in thinking and action, you will confidently align projects and activities with the College’s Strategy 2021 and Beyond as well as the plans and goals of the Development Office and Alumni Association committee.<br /></p><p><b>Key Selection Criteria</b><br /></p><p><b>Essential</b><br /></p><ul><li>Previous experience in high-level administration, event management or community relations<br /></li><li>Proven experience successfully managing end-to-end projects</li><li>Understanding of the operational aspects of strategic planning </li><li>High level writing and editing skills</li><li>Experience in the development and implementation of powerful social media strategies</li><li>Exceptional interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills with a particular focus on building relationships with internal and external stakeholders</li><li>Commitment to work within and positively advance the College’s mission and Mercy values </li><li>Understanding and/or appreciation of the principles of a Catholic community organisation</li></ul><p><b>Desirable</b></p><ul><li>A tertiary degree in a relevant field<br /></li><li>Experience in a similar role</li><li>Professional Industry membership or involvement in relevant networks</li><li>A current Victorian driver’s license</li></ul><p>This position requires a current Police Check and Working with Children Check. Evidence of full vaccination against Covid-19 is required. The successful candidate will have relevant background checks conducted by the College.</p><p>Classification is in accordance with the Victorian Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement 2018.
