We work collaboratively to create an environment which celebrates our faith, encourages students to strive for excellence and supports wellbeing.&nbsp;</p> <p dir="ltr">The mission of the role of Leader of Well-Being at St Matthews Catholic School is to, as a member of the School Leadership team, guide wellbeing practice to create an optimal learning environment for students. In collaboration with the School and Campus Leadership teams, the Leader of Wellbeing leads the school K-12 in embedding a safe, inclusive, respectful and enabling environment. The Leader of Wellbeing promotes quality interpersonal relationships within and beyond the school as the foundation for wellbeing and engagement with learning. By supporting continuous improvement in school policies and practices to respond to the diverse and evolving needs of young people, the Leader of Wellbeing works to strengthen students’ wellbeing and learning outcomes in a holistic, evidence informed, whole school approach. The Leader of Wellbeing promotes student voice and agency as integral to learning and growth.</p> <p>Applications are invited from qualified and innovative educators who demonstrate a sincere commitment to the aims and philosophy of Catholic education.</p> <p>The successful candidate will be able to clearly demonstrate</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work with the School Leadership Team to provide leadership in promoting the mission of the school as a Catholic school in the Mercy tradition</li> <li>Ability to develop the capacity of leaders and teachers to identify and understand the links between student wellbeing, growth and learning outcomes</li> <li> <div><span>Develop programs that enhance students’ resilience and self-efficacy, strengthen their decision-making and goal setting skills, and deepen their understanding of knowledge and behaviours that support them to work and relate well with others</span></div> </li> <li><span>In collaboration with the Wellbeing Team and School Counsellors, lead the development, implementation, monitoring and review of research and evidence based wellbeing policies and practices that reflect Catholic teaching and respond to the diverse and evolving needs of young people</span></li> </ul> <p>A valid <em>Working with Children Check Number</em> is required for this position and must be provided at the time of application.
