<p>The College seeks to appoint a Counsellor to work within a small team, fostering the wellbeing of students through a proactive and supportive counselling service, and working collaboratively with College teams in supporting student wellbeing. This is a permanent part-time role (3 days per week) and the start date is negotiable for the right candidate.<br> <br> The successful applicant will possess:<br> </p> <ul> <li>Registered Psychologist desirable (not essential)</li> <li>Experience facilitating proactive and preventative practices and initiatives that promote social, emotional and educational development and the mental health and wellbeing of all students</li> <li>Effective communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills</li> <li>Demonstrated understanding of the requirements relating to privacy, confidentiality and Child Protection</li> <li>Actively support and participate in the life of the College, and the Catholic mission and Mercy values of the College.</li> <li>Postgraduate qualifications or experience working with adolescents (preferably in an educational environment), and experience in delivering education programs for staff would be well regarded.</li> <li>A valid Working With Children Check and Covid vaccination certificates</li> </ul> <p>Applications close Sunday, 6 February 2022.<br> </p>
