PE and Curriculum Support Teacher - Bradbury School

Bradbury School is looking for a PE and Curriculum Support Teacher to join the community. Successful candidate supports in planning lessons consistent with the physical education curriculum and ensures to help students develop physical abilities.

</p><p>Bradbury School is a 4-form entry primary school. We follow the IB PYP Curriculum providing an outstanding education to 720 students, representing a diverse range of nationalities.
</p><p>Bradbury School is seeking to appoint a PE and Curriculum Support teacher on a full-time two-year contract starting August 2022, renewable by mutual consent. </p><p>We are looking for a passionate, versatile teacher to work alongside the Head of PE to deliver a high-quality Physical Education and Wellbeing inquiry curriculum for the students of Hillside Kindergarten and Bradbury School. This full-time position provides an exciting opportunity to develop and broaden the current practices within both schools.
</p><p><b>Teaching and Assessment:
</b></p><ul><li>Planning lessons and sequences of lessons to meet students’ individual learning needs and to ensure student progression.
</li><li>Using a range of appropriate strategies for teaching and learning and class management.
</li><li>Use flexible groupings and structured inquiry to deliver high-quality lessons in line with the IB philosophy.
</li><li>Maintain a well organised and stimulating learning environment.
</li><li>Confident to use technology to effectively enhance learning.
</li><li>Using information about prior attainment to set expectations for students.
</li><li>Using a range of assessment and reporting methods that show student's achievement in relation to learning outcomes.
</li><li>Providing clear and constructive feedback to students and their parents and caregivers.
</li></ul><p><b>Wider professional roles:
</b></p><ul><li>Planning and engaging in professional learning activities that support school priorities.
</li><li>Taking responsibility for own professional development and using the outcomes to improve teaching and students’ learning.
</li><li>Ensuring administration of classroom procedures are completed efficiently.
</li><li>Collaborating with members of the school community to build a team environment that supports students’ learning.
</li><li>Support school teams and develop school participation in competitions and events.
</li></ul><p><b>Additional responsibilities may include:
</b></p><ul><li>Being flexible to assist with any aspect of daily school management.
</li><li>Collaboration with year level and curriculum leaders, as well as the senior leadership team where appropriate.
</li><li>Assisting with extracurricular activities.
</li><li>Supervising a range of student well-being and strategic initiatives.
</li></ul><p><b>Requirement
</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor Degree in Education, or
</li><li>Bachelor Degree in any subjects with PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate of Education), or equivalent qualified to teach ages 3-11.
</li><li>Teaching experience within a recognised educational organisation - ideally including class teaching experience.
</li><li>Experience teaching a variety of ages 3-11 is desirable.
</li><li>Experience of the PYP would be an advantage.
</li><li>Be an enthusiastic team player able to work alongside the Head of Department delivering all aspects of the PE curriculum which includes athletics, fundamental movement skills, invasion games, striking and fielding games, movement composition, swimming and water safety.
</li><li>Be available to support after school activities and camp.
</li><li>Experience working with students with individual needs could be beneficial.
