As a partner with elite sporting clubs including Manchester City Football Club, Parade College has for 150 years developed signature sporting programs, high performing teams and elite athletes. There is now an exciting opportunity to lead the Manchester City Football School at Parade College as the Head Coach and create a National Centre for Football Excellence.

<p><b><i>Manchester City FC </i></b></p><p>Manchester City FC is an English Premier League club initially founded in 1880 as St Mark’s West Gorton. It officially became Manchester City FC in 1894 and has since then gone onto win the European Cup Winners’ Cup, six League Championship titles, including four Premier League titles (2012, 2014, 2018, 2019), and six FA Cups. Manchester City FC is one of eleven clubs comprising the City Football Group and counts New York City FC and Melbourne City FC among its sister clubs. </p><p> </p><p>Under manager Pep Guardiola, one of the most highly decorated managers in world football, the Club plays its domestic and UEFA Champions League home fixtures at the Etihad Stadium, a spectacular?55,000 seat arena that City have called home since 2003. Today, the Stadium sits on the wider Etihad Campus, which also encompasses the City Football Academy, a state-of-the-art performance training and youth development facility located in the heart of East Manchester. Featuring a 7,000 capacity Academy Stadium, the City Football Academy is also where Manchester City Women’s Football Club and the Elite Development Squad train on a daily basis and play their competitive home games. <br /></p><p><b><i>Parade College</i></b><br /></p><p>Parade College is a Catholic school in the Edmund Rice tradition. The College aims to help young men grow into well-rounded individuals who will make a meaningful contribution to society. In a vibrant learning community, students are encouraged to explore and develop their talents to the fullest and aim for excellence in all their endeavours. </p><p>Parade College is the oldest Edmund Rice School in Australia, dating back to 1871, and has a proud history of excellence in the education and pastoral care of young men. Parade offers a multitude of curriculum options for boys whatever their interest may be; from academic, sporting, music, visual arts and trade options.<br /></p><p><b>Manchester City Football School at Parade College </b><br /></p><p>Utilising the coaching philosophy and methodology of Manchester City, the Manchester City Football School will provide authentic and creative football coaching programs for their students. The Football School, will be based within the College’s Bundoora and Preston Campuses commencing January 2022. </p><p>The Football School will contribute to Parade’s ongoing effort of improving the lives of our students and community and creating well rounded individuals by bringing Manchester City’s approach and methodology to continue in their path towards football, and educational excellence.<br /></p><p><b> Attributes / Skills and Experience</b><br /></p><p>The ideal candidate would hold an International UEFA Pro Soccer Coaching Accreditation and/or working towards UEFA Accreditation.  A qualification in Sports Education, Teaching or management equivalent would also be highly desirable, together with the following experience and/or qualities: </p><ul><li>The proven ability to communicate and educate players, coaches, and stakeholders in understanding and executing a Manchester City soccer education program.</li><li>An enthusiasm for sports and an ability to promote student participation and elite performance. </li><li>The ability to work within a positive working environment.</li><li>Sound experience in developing players of varying ages and abilities, including reviewing and evaluating individuals.</li><li>Highly competent and transparent organisational skills. </li><li>Excellent communication skills with a range of stakeholders. </li><li>An ability to relate with secondary school students and manage them effectively.</li></ul><p><b>Application Requirements</b><br /></p><p>In preparing an application, please read the application package carefully to ensure that you can demonstrate your ability to meet the position requirements and have a good understanding of the role. </p><p></p><p> Applications must include: </p><ul><li>a <b>covering letter </b></li><li>a separate statement addressing the <b>Key Selection Criteria</b> addressing your skills, qualifications and experience relevant to the role </li><li>a current <b>Curriculum Vitae</b>; together with </li><li>a completed <b>Application for School Officer form </b>available on the College website. </li></ul><p></p><p>Applications should be emailed to <i><u>hr&#64;parade.vic.edu.au</u></i>, addressed to the Principal.  </p><p><b>Applications close at 4pm, Wednesday 23 February 2022.</b><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><i>This community is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care. </i></p><p><i>Parade College acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the traditional custodians of the lands where we live, learn and work. </i></p><p><i>Parade College is an Equal Opportunity Employer</i></p>
