<p dir="ltr">The <strong>Catherine McAuley Westmead - Catholic</strong><strong>&nbsp;Education Diocese of Parramatta - </strong>&nbsp;is looking for a skilled, contemporary and passionate <strong>Temporary</strong><strong>&nbsp;Part-Time&nbsp;TAS Teacher (0.5FTE)</strong><strong>, Terms 1-4, 2022 </strong>&nbsp;to be part of our school community and enrich the lives of our students.</p> <p dir="ltr">Teachers within the Diocese are responsible to the Principal and shares in the learning and teaching of subject matters to students of the school community. It is a collaborative ministry of witness and service and part of the evangelising mission of the Church.</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Key focus areas</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">The Secondary TAS Teacher will fit the following criteria:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Teach in the area of TAS encompassing any of the areas of STEM, Multimedia, VET Hospitality-Food and Beverage, Food Technology and Mandatory Technology. Qualifications in any other TAS VET subject and Religious Education are an advantage.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Extensive, contemporary and authoritative professional knowledge and understanding of the teaching of technology and the factors that influence learning and the development of skills.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Use effective pedagogies, a range of differentiated assessment approaches and a wide variety of stimulating and interactive resources to enhance student learning outcomes.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Build effective relationships and manage complex interactions and balancing the development of skills and knowledge.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Create engaging, intellectually challenging and safe learning environments through planning, implementing and evaluating rigorous and inclusive learning programs.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Make a positive difference to the learning outcomes of the students taught.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Sensitive and responsive to all aspects of the context in which they teach including use of technology and other resources, teaching practices and ways in which assessment and feedback is provided to students.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Excellent teachers of Technology are committed to the continual improvement of their teaching practice and take opportunities for personal professional development.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">They work creatively and constructively within a range of 'communities' inside and beyond the school and set high, achievable goals for themselves and their students.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Exhibit personal approaches characterised by caring and respect for others.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Ability to teach Stage 4, 5 and 6</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>The Organisation</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">Catholic Education within the Diocese of Parramatta provides quality learning and teaching in a faith-centred environment in its primary and secondary schools and for early learning and out of school hours care centres in western Sydney.
