St Clare’s College is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified full time Leader of Diverse Learning.

<p>5-Star Innovative School and Australian Education Awards 2021 Excellence Awardee, St Clare&#39;s College is at the forefront of education when it comes to innovation in teaching and learning. </p><p>St Clare’s College is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified full time Leader of Diverse Learning. This position includes a 3 point remuneration and a significant time allocation. The position holds a small teaching load in the preferred candidate’s teaching area.<br /></p><p><b>About the role:</b></p><p>This Leader of Diverse Learning position will attract an educator who has a passion for working collaboratively in the leadership of the Diverse Learning Team. As a member of St. Clare&#39;s College, the role requires a commitment to supporting a positive religious and cultural Catholic school environment for young women in the Franciscan tradition.</p><p>The Leader of Diverse Learning will be a member of the Learning and Teaching team and will support staff in continually developing their professional practice to extend the learning, outcomes and achievement of students with diverse learning needs, from Stages 4 to 6. </p><p><b>Key Selection Criteria:</b></p><p>The Leader of Diverse Learning is a delegated responsibility by the Principal for the leadership and management of the following key areas:-</p><ul><li>Giving active leadership in contemporary learning practices that enhance student achievement and performance in learning across KLAs.</li><li>Contributing to the effectiveness and quality of diverse learning.</li><li>Oversee the development of staff and the support of the full breadth of the diverse learners in the St Clare&#39;s community including Learning Support, EAL/D, ATSI and Gifted Education. The Leader of Diverse Learning reports to and works closely with the Director of Learning and Teaching and collaborates closely with the Heads of Department.</li><li>Provide leadership of the Newman Gifted Selective Program in line with Sydney Catholic Schools’ processes.</li><li>An ability to coordinate the individual planning process, including regular consultation with teachers, students and parents/carers</li><li>An ability to liaise with Sydney Catholic Schools in areas such as assessment and funding applications and familiarity with NCCD processes and the &#39;Personal Planning Tool&#39;.</li><li>Capacity to assist in leading the ongoing development of differentiated pedagogy and assessment which is informed by evidence-based approaches and the skilled use of data.</li><li>Promoting teacher professionalism and encouraging positive staff morale by contributing to and initiating processes for team building.</li><li>Providing sound leadership to and administration of the Diverse Learning Team (EAL/D &amp; ATSI Teacher and LSO’s) in a way that is credible and consistent for all stakeholders.</li><li>Work with the Leader of Learning Pathways to support opportunities and transitional arrangements for all diverse learners</li><li>Collaborating with colleagues to build genuine and professional relationships and to promote shared commitment and a sense of achievement.</li><li>Excellent presentation and communication skills.</li></ul><p><b>Essential Criteria:</b></p><ul><li>A minimum of 5 years&#39; experience as a teacher.</li><li>Tertiary qualifications in Diverse Learning, Special Education or Gifted Education.</li></ul><p>Applicants should complete the St Clare’s College Teaching Application Form which is available on the College website <a href="https://stclares.syd.catholic.edu.au/careers" rel="nofollow">https://stclares.syd.catholic.edu.au/careers</a> (or download it from the bottom of this ad) and forward it with a covering letter, full CV, including transcripts of qualifications and the names and telephone numbers of at least three referees should be addressed to The Principal.
