Sacred Heart, Pymble is seeking to appoint an energetic, suitably qualified and experienced leader to the position of Religious Education Coordinator to lead a dynamic and cohesive team.This is a permanent full-time opportunity to start in January 2022.

The Towards 2025 Strategy commits our system of schools to being at least as good as the very best, to maximise the learning growth of every student, and to inspire hearts and minds to know Christ and love learning. </p><p>Covering an expansive geographical area which includes the Central Coast and Sydney’s Northern Beaches and North Shore, Catholic Schools Broken Bay is a system serving 44 Catholic Schools with around 17,000 students from Kindergarten to Year 12. </p><p><b>About the role </b></p><p>Sacred Heart, Pymble is seeking to appoint an energetic, suitably qualified and experienced leader to the position of Religious Education Coordinator to lead a dynamic and cohesive team.This is a permanent full-time opportunity to start in January  2022.</p><p>This role shares with the Principal and Assistant Principal the responsibility of spiritual leadership, the development of a faith community and ensuring Catholic perspectives across the curriculum. This executive position is to be held by a practising Catholic who is committed to the Catholic faith and moral values.</p><p><b>About you </b></p><ul><li>A commitment to Catholic education and the promotion of the mission of the Catholic Church </li><li>Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, parents, staff, the parish team and wider community </li><li>Is a highly competent classroom teacher whose practices reflect current pedagogy and show evidence of teaching strategies and learning technologies that engage students to love learning and curiosity </li><li>Works collaboratively and contributes positively as a member of the leadership team </li><li>Is organised and able to effectively lead others in developing knowledge and understanding of the Religious Education curriculum </li><li>Demonstrates knowledge and insight when developing and co-ordinating creative liturgy </li><li>Possesses effective problem-solving skills and demonstrates emotional maturity </li><li>Is flexible, enthusiastic and has initiative</li></ul><p><b>Qualification and Accreditation </b></p><p> </p><ul><li>NESA-approved undergraduate degree in Teaching or Education, or undergrad in another discipline and NESA approved postgraduate qualification in Teaching or Education<br /></li><li>Proficient Teacher level or higher against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers </li><li>Post-graduate qualification in Management, Human Resources, Leadership or Theology from an approved institution</li></ul><p><b>The rewards</b><br /></p><p>Be part of a passionate team committed to delivering authentic Catholic education with care and compassion.
