<p>Catholic Education, Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn (CECG) plays an integral role in education both in the ACT and NSW operating 56 Schools and 8 Early Learning Centres.</p>
<p>CECG has embarked on a holistic Finance Transformation program that seeks to uplift the Finance service delivery and ensure continuous optimisation. As a result of the transformation program, several exciting new positions are now available.<br><br><strong>About the Role</strong></p>
<p>Working as a Financial Partner within CECG, you will be working within our Financial Planning and Analysis team which is a group of like-minded professionals, working within a fast-paced environment. This role will require you to build strong, effective relationships and work closely with the senior stakeholders and CEO executives in the different Service Areas of the organisation. </p>
<p>Within this role you will provide support and analysis and detailed financial planning to your Service Areas, this will include budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting and other ad hoc requirements.</p>
<p><strong>Key responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Monthly results preparation, analysis and management reporting, including analysis of P&L results during and following period end close, and the preparation of monthly management packs</li>
<li>Perform financial budgeting, forecasting, and planning to better enable the organisation to achieve its strategic goals.</li>
<li>Perform financial analysis including scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, driver-based analysis, and other forms of financial modelling.</li>
<li>Provide meaningful financial insights to clients through regular and ad hoc management reporting.</li>
<li>Support continuous improvement through BAU activities and projects</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Values aligned to the vision and mission of Catholic Education.</li>
<li>Experience within Financial Planning & Analysis functions.</li>
<li>Interpersonal skills and prior experience engaging with leadership and providing timely decision support.</li>
<li>Proven ability to access, analyse and interpret complex data enabling robust evaluation, annual planning processes and support continuous improvement of services</li>
<li>Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications, including intermediate/advanced knowledge of Excel</li>
<li>A strong understanding of financial systems and reporting tools will mean that you are well placed to recommend improvements and optimization</li>
<li>Proven effective consultation facilitation effective written and verbal communication skills</li>
<li>Ability to develop and manage & influence stakeholders and build partnerships to support effective organisation change</li>
<li>Able to communicate complex financial information into understandable insights and advice for stakeholders with non-financial background</li>
<li>Financial modelling and business case development skills</li>
<li>Time management and high attention to detail</li>
<li>The successful applicant will hold tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Business and a current membership of a relevant professional accounting body such as CA/CPA</li>
