We are always on the lookout for top talent to help us achieve our strategic goal of inspiring the future through quality catholic schooling and by strengthening the professional lives of our employees.</p> <p dir="ltr">St Anthony's Primary, Girraween is currently seeking a skilled Senior Finance Officer to ensure the efficient and effective management of the school operations to achieve the school's objectives for a temporary 12 month appointment.</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>About the opportunity:</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">As a member of the Administration Team the Finance Officer works collaboratively with other school staff to provide support and assistance to teachers, students and school leadership in the successful delivery of financial, clerical and administrative services at the College.&nbsp; The Finance Officer is a school-based appointment, with delegated responsibility by the Principal and Principal delegate.</p> <p dir="ltr">Working in partnership with the school Administrative team, the Senior Finance Officer will be accountable for:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Use and maintenance of Technology One.<br><br></p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Financial management and reporting, including assisting with preparation of school budget, school fees, monthly reconciliation of finance accounts and GST reports.<br><br></p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Receipting all fees and charges, executing banking and bookkeeping procedures, maintaining the asset register, tracking and processing excursion/incursion documentation and payments;<br><br></p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Managing billing and accounts receivable, purchasing, asset, inventory and accounts payable;<br><br></p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Maintaining systems and data, meeting system milestones and reporting, reconciliation and audit requirements;<br><br></p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Providing advice requiring knowledge of financial and administrative policies and procedures and/or the interpretation of system rules and regulations;<br><br></p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Other general financial management tasks as designated by the Principal or delegate<br><br></p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Other general administrative duties as required and directed by the Principal or delegate</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>About you:</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment to the values of CEDP along with:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">The ability to work under pressure, to deadlines and a passion to succeed</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Adaptability and an ability to navigate changing/transforming environments.&nbsp;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">First rate attention to detail and compliance</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Tertiary qualifications in the relevant area of study</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">We believe that our employee community is a key strength of our organisation and we aim to attract the best talent to achieve our strategic goal of being leaders in quality, faith-based education and an Employer of Choice in our sector.
