<h1 align="center">Education Officer: English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EALD)</h1> <h4 align="center">0.20 FTE (Regional North) Limited Tenure: Leave Replacement</h4> <h3 align="center">Tasmanian Catholic Education Office, Northern Office Based</h3> <p>Applications are sought for the position of Education Officer: English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EALD).&nbsp;&nbsp;This is a 0.2 FTE role and hours can be worked across 1 full day or 2 half days.</p> <p>This is an excellent opportunity for suitably qualified and experienced Catholic educator to secure a unique opportunity within system.</p> <p>The Education Officer: English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EALD) works to implement policies, practices and programs with the objective of building greater capacity of EALD Key Teachers and classroom teachers in schools, so that they are able to develop learning plans, programmes and make reasonable adjustments to enable access and participation for EALD students.</p> <p>Successful applicants must be able to:</p> <ul> <li>Work mainly in the service area of Launceston but including NW upon demand.</li> <li>Work collaboratively with the EALD Statewide Education Officer as required&nbsp;.</li> <li>Undertake EALD tasks in enrolments and school support to a 0.2 capacity.</li> <li>Undertake EALD work as delegated through liaison with the EALD line manager and the EALD Statewide Education Officer.&nbsp;</li> <li>Display an existing understanding of key aspects in the English as an Additional Language or Dialect service area.&nbsp;</li> <li>Develop a full&nbsp;understanding&nbsp;of EALD initiatives and goals whilst in the role.</li> </ul> <p>Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and in accordance with the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2018. ?</p> <p>CET supports the rights of children and young people and is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment directed at ensuring their safety and wellbeing.&nbsp; The successful candidate will require satisfactory registrations relevant to child safety.</p> <p>We demonstrate our commitment to reconciliation by encouraging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to apply.</p> <p><strong>To apply go to our website <a href="http://www.catholic.tas.edu.au/careers">www.catholic.tas.edu.au/careers</a></strong></p> <p><strong>Applications Close:&nbsp;Thursday, 10 February 2022 at 4pm</strong></p><br><br><p><img src="https://az29734.vo.msecnd.net/static/people/icons/icon_file_small.gif" alt="Download File">&nbsp;<a href="https://careers.catholic.tas.edu.au/cw/en/PositionDescriptionDocument/492534/education-officer-english-as-an-additional-language-or-dialect-eald">Applicant Information Pack</a></p>
