St Paul's Catholic College, Booragul is a seeking a temporary part time (0.8FTE) COVID Intensive Learning Support Teacher – Numeracy / Literacy teachers to join the team from Term 1, 2022. This position would also be suitable for primary trained literacy and numeracy specialist teachers. St Paul's Catholic College offers an inclusive, welcoming and comfortable environment. The teacher will promote the school as a place of learning and excellence in accordance with contemporary evidence-based learning and wellbeing principles (including digital learning) and will ensure the ongoing development and implementation of pedagogical practices that impact on student learning outcomes. The Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle has an abiding commitment to promote the safety, welfare and wellbeing of children and vulnerable adults - particularly those who participate in the life of the Diocese. All employees are required to undergo a National Police Check and, where legislated, hold a Working with Children Check. Diocesan workers are expected to personally adopt and enact the Diocese’s Safeguarding Commitment Statement. </p> <h3>Essential Criteria:</h3> <p> • Ability to articulate a clear understanding of and a personal commitment to Catholic Education and to support the Catholic ethos and culture of the school <br>• Demonstrated capacity to know students and how they learn <br>• Demonstrated ability to use a range of data to assess, evaluate and improve teaching and learning practices <br>• Ability to integrate ICT into teaching <br>• Ability to implement high impact teaching strategies to improve learning outcomes for each student <br>• Committed to a positive approach to behaviour management <br>• Strong interpersonal skills that build collaboration and quality relationships in working with others <br>• Practice informed by a knowledge of contemporary educational research on how students best learn <br>• Thorough understanding of Mathematics syllabus documents and related content knowledge and requirements <br>• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with school staff in order to maximise improvement <br>• Evidence of well-developed interpersonal, organisational and communication skills that are appropriate to engaging with students, parents and colleagues <br>• Willingness to Comply or Compliance with the CSO Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead Policy. Category B or D – Accreditation to Teach or Accreditation to Teach Religion.
