<p><b>Position</b>: Senior Modern History, Humanities, English and Religion Teacher<br /><b>Commencing Date</b>: Term 1, 2022<br /><b>Classification</b>: Full Time, Permanent<br /><b>Salary Range</b>: $75,471 - $108,696 per annum pending experience<br /><b>Closing Date</b>: Thursday, 20 January 2022</p><p>Ryan Catholic College, Kirwan was established in 1979 and has as its foundational story the well-known "Journey to Emmaus" from the Gospel of Luke. The theme of "journey" is one that is embraced by the college and is a fine metaphor for portraying the growth that all people experience in developing their spirituality, intellect, physical and social capabilities and wisdom. Although the college is relatively young, it has an enviable reputation for providing an education which results in graduates who are well rounded young people. Academic excellence is sought and achieved, yet there is a broad education provided so that all who seek our values find a suitable pathway to attaining their goals.

From humble beginnings as a small community school which opened in 1979, Ryan Catholic College has become a local leader in the provision of catholic education.
The school’s first year commenced with a cohort of students in grades 1, 2, 5 and 8. A large footprint of land had been secured and early school and parish committees had the foresight to plan for what would become one of Queensland’s premier educational institutions.
The past 40 years have seen rapid growth in the Townsville outer suburbs, and Ryan Catholic College has grown to accommodate almost 2,000 students across three campuses. The school operates from Prep to Year 12 and has a separate kindergarten on the expansive premises.
