St Patrick’s Primary School in Griffith are looking for suitably qualified individuals for various Classroom Learning Support positions commencing in February 2022!

<p><b>What we can offer: </b></p><ul><li>Various Classroom Learning Support Positions from 2 February 2022 to 16 December 2022.</li><li>Salary: Level 4/1: $28.90 per hour (Averaged - Does not work during school break).</li><li>Access to Salary Packaging (Maxxia is our Salary Packaging Provider). </li><li>Relocation Allowance (Up to a maximum of $5,000). </li></ul><p><b>Your new role: </b></p><p>The Classroom Learning Support assists the classroom teacher to ensure equity for learners with diverse learning needs.</p><p><b>About Griffith: </b></p><p>Explore world-class wineries, fresh produce and fascinating heritage, in the beautiful Riverina. You’ll find plenty of cellar doors to visit, be provided with delicious local produce, quality restaurants and cafes, and festivals celebrating a rich food and wine culture. </p><p>Welcome to Griffith, to find out more click <a href="https://www.griffith.nsw.gov.au/cp_themes/visit/home.asp" rel="nofollow">here</a>. </p><p><b>What you will need to succeed (Selection Criteria): </b></p><ul><li>Support the Catholic Ethos of the school;</li><li>Assist teachers and students in and outside the Learning Spaces;</li><li>Assist with the supervision of small groups and/or individual students on activities, as directed by the teacher;</li><li>Undertake specific tasks with individuals or small groups of students under the guidance of the teacher;</li><li>Support the students and/or teachers in the use of technology;</li><li>Assist students with physical, medical or mobility challenges; and</li><li>Certificate III in Education Support – Teacher’s Aide (or equivalent) is highly desirable or enrolled in a Bachelor of Education/ Masters of Teaching degree.</li></ul><p><b>Important Qualities -</b></p><p><b>Communication skills:</b> Teacher Assistants need to discuss student progress with teachers, so they need to be able to communicate effectively. </p><p><b>Interpersonal skills:</b> Teacher Assistants interact with a variety of people, including teachers, students, parents and administrators. They need to develop good working relationships with the people they work with. </p><p><b>Patience:</b> working with students of different abilities and backgrounds can be difficult.
