It is expected that every child will learn to the best of their potential.</p> <p>Applications are invited from the above position from qualified and innovative educators who demonstrate a sincere commitment to the aims and philosophy of Catholic education and possess appropriate teaching qualifications.</p> <p><strong>Suitable applicants for this position will be able to demonstrate:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Commitment to the aims and philosophy of Catholic Education, including a willingness to teach the gospel values and beliefs of the Catholic faith.</li> <li>Upholding the equality, dignity and worth of each individual by providing an accepting and affirming classroom environment.</li> <li>Possessing appropriate teaching qualifications to be employed as a teacher in a Primary School (Kindergarten to Year 6) and have experience teaching in this setting.</li> <li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Being able to work collegially as a member of a Professional Learning Team sharing a common vision, talents, ideas, responsibilities and resources.</li> <li>Having a sound knowledge and understanding of contemporary classroom practice, including how children learn, classroom management, class programming, assessment, reporting and teaching strategies.</li> <li>Knowledge and understanding of the NSW Primary curriculum (NESA).</li> <li>Being able to provide excellent teaching/learning experiences in order to encourage self-motivation in students and to ensure sound academic progress.</li> <li>Demonstrating confidentiality and being aware of the legal obligations and responsibilities associated with this position.</li> </ul> <p>A valid <em>Working with Children Check Number</em> is required for this position and must be provided at the time of application.
