The Indigenous Education Officer is responsible for providing Indigenous students with the necessary support to enable them to successfully complete secondary school. In addition, the Indigenous Education Officer together with the Indigenous Support Officer, are responsible for increasing the College community's knowledge, understanding, and appreciation of Indigenous cultures.

<p><b>Role Description</b> </p><p>Parade College is a member of the national body of Catholic schools known as Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA). The College aims to help young men grow into well rounded individuals who will make a meaningful contribution to society. In a vibrant learning community, students are encouraged to explore and develop their talents to the fullest and aim for excellence in all endeavours. </p><p>As a long-standing Catholic school for boys in the Edmund Rice tradition, Parade College strives to be a learning community that offers best practice education and pastoral care to its students to foster fullness of life and holistic growth for all. </p><p>The Student Support Services (SSS) Team provides assistance to students with diverse learning needs; this includes support for students with additional needs and highly able students. In addition, the SSS team provides targeted assistance to students with disabilities, students with Refugee Status, students from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds, and Indigenous students. </p><p> </p><p>The Indigenous Education Officer is responsible for providing Indigenous students with the necessary support to enable them to successfully complete secondary school. In addition, the Indigenous Education Officer is responsible for guiding the development of culturally safe learning environments and increasing the College community’s knowledge, understanding, and appreciation of Indigenous cultures. <br /></p><p>The successful candidate for the position will commence 28 January 2022.
