<p>Holy Spirit Catholic College Lakemba is a dynamic faith community preparing young adults for the challenges of the modern world. Our College is seeking to appoint a Religious Education Teacher for a temporary full time position for the 2022 school year. Ability to teach in one other subject area is not a prerequisite but would be advantageous. </p><p>About you</p><p>As Religious Education Teacher, you will be innovative, highly skilled and passionate and foremost a Witness to Faith. You will play a vital part in developing and implementing effective lesson plans to ensure high-quality student learning and engagement.  You will be committed to continual improvement of teaching practice by using professional teaching standards and key educational and Church documents to evaluate regularly your professional knowledge, practice and engagement.  You will take opportunities for personal professional learning and regular formation for mission.</p><p>To be successful for this role, you must demonstrate;</p><ul><li>understanding of the curriculum and the Theology by which it is underpinned, by knowing key concepts, skills, pedagogy, subject specific literacy and language and current issues pertaining to Religious Education.</li><li>ability to collaborate with colleagues to build genuine and professional relationships</li><li>ability to empower students to be independent and creative learners</li><li>ability to differentiate teaching programs and learning strategies</li><li>ability to successfully integrate technology into everyday learning and planning</li><li>a commitment to the Catholic ethos of the College and the wellbeing of all community members.</li></ul><p>You will have attained:</p><ul><li>undergraduate or postgraduate Studies in Religious Education</li><li>a Tertiary qualification in Education </li><li>eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)</li><li>employee ID registration number with Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) or a commitment to Register to Teach Religious Education in SCS.</li></ul><p><br /></p>
