We are seeking a suitably qualified Aboriginal Teacher Aide to assist in the acquisition and development of literacy and numeracy skills with Indigenous students.

<p><b>About Pacific Gulgangali Jarjums Christian School </b></p><p>Pacific Gulgangali Jarjums Christian School is a boutique Christian school established by the local Bundjalung elders and Tweed Action Group in partnership with a community which has over four decades of experience in education, the Pacific Christian Schools Group. The total student population will be no more than 60 when the school has reached its capacity. </p><p>The vision of the School is to provide a Christian educational community as a centre of teaching, learning, and serving excellence founded on Biblically based beliefs, values and behaviour. </p><p>Pacific Gulgangali Jarjums Christian School is an exciting place where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children can learn about their culture and receive a quality curriculum-based education. </p><p>The School is located in Tweed Heads on the far north coast of NSW, sharing the grounds with Pacific Coast Christian School and Pacific Hope School. </p><p><br /></p><p><b>About the Role </b></p><p>We are seeking a suitably qualified Aboriginal Teacher Aide to assist in the acquisition and development of literacy and numeracy skills with Indigenous students. The applicant would be a Christian and employed by Pacific Gulgangali Jarjums Christian School. The position is 4 days per week. </p><p>To be successful in this role you will have: </p><p>• The ability to form responsive relationships with children </p><p>• Demonstrate patience and care with children </p><p>• Initiative and capacity to work with minimal supervision </p><p>• Excellent communication skills </p><p>• The ability to work effectively in a team </p><p> Commitment to a local church and the ethos of Christian education is essential.
