This is a temporary position commencing in Term 1 2022. It is for 36 hours per fortnight Monday - Friday.

<p>St Joseph the Worker Catholic Primary School is looking for a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Officer to work approximately 3 1/2 hours a day Monday-Friday.</p><p><u>The role:</u><br /></p><p>Provide in-class learning support for identified students with diverse learning needs</p><p>Provide small group withdrawal support for identified students, under the direction of the Diverse Learning Coordinator and classroom teachers</p><p>Carry out a variety of tasks associated with classroom learning experiences (e.g. assisting identified students within the classroom setting under the guidance of the class teacher) </p><p>Accompany students on excursions and other external activities when required </p><p>Complete administrative duties including maintaining records, photocopying and data entry </p><p><u>Essential Criteria:</u></p><p> </p><p>Applicants are required to undertake the Registration to Work process with Sydney Catholic Schools and hold a current Working with Children Check<br /></p><p>Child Protection Legislation requires preferred applicant to be subject to employment screening<br /></p><p>A Sydney Catholic Schools&#39; employment number is required for this position</p><p>Demonstrated commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education<br /></p><p>Well developed communication and interpersonal skills</p><p> </p><p>Demonstrated ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team</p><p>An ability to work collaboratively to maximise student learning </p><p>Must have a current Working with Children Check </p><p><u>Desirable Criteria: </u></p><p>Previous experience working with students with diverse learning needs </p><p>Relevant qualifications (e.g. Certificate III or IV in Education Support)</p><p> </p><p>Experience with the MiniLit program</p><p>Ability to speak Mandarin or Cantonese</p><p><br /></p><p>Apply in writing with two (2) professional referees, one of whom should be your current Principal if applicable.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
