<p><strong>Core Role Purpose</strong></p> <p>The College is seeking a suitably qualified and innovative literacy specialist teacher to support school-based literacy initiatives, goals, and needs. The successful candidate will be working with small groups of students to develop writing skills. This teacher will have strong skills in working with diverse learners, particularly students with additional needs. The candidate must also have the capacity and capabilities to develop relationships with teachers to build specific writing skills in all subject areas through team teaching. </p><p><b>Essential Criteria: </b><br /></p><p>The successful applicant will have: </p><ul><li>commitment to Catholic education, a clear understanding of the vision and mission of Catholic Schools and a willingness to support faith formation of students </li><li>appropriate tertiary qualifications and approval to teach in NSW </li><li>demonstrated knowledge of contemporary pedagogical practices that provide a rich environment that caters for diversity and academic rigour </li><li>a commitment to academic excellence </li><li>an understanding of and ability to differentiate curriculum and assessment </li><li>highly developed interpersonal skills demonstrating an ability to effectively communicate with parents, students and staff </li><li>exhibit knowledge of emerging technologies and the ability to integrate these into a wide range of curriculum applications </li><li>ability to critically reflect on their own teaching practice </li><li>a willingness to be involved in the College&#39;s co-curricular activities </li></ul><p><br /></p>
