<p><br /></p><p>St James is seeking an experienced K-2 teacher specialising  in Literacy Intervention, experience in Reading Recovery  desirable </p><p> Your major accountabilities will include, but are not limited to:</p><ul><li>an understanding of the instructional teaching skills and pedagogy required to support student learning outcomes in Literacy </li><li>the capacity to work with students in both small targeted groups and within the classroom encouraging metacognition and conceptual understanding</li><li>ability to implement high impact teaching strategies to improve learning outcomes for each student</li><li>demonstrated ability to use a range of data to assess, evaluate and improve teaching and learning practices</li><li> the ability to keep detailed monitoring records of student progress and learning</li><li>implementing an intervention tutoring program 5 days a week</li><li>maintaining a high level of accountability for the teaching of students and overall learning</li><li>providing evaluative feedback about the implementation of the program</li></ul><p>Essential Criteria</p><ul><li>NESA accreditation as a Proficient teacher</li><li>Registration, or eligibility for registration, to teach in Sydney Catholic Schools</li><li>Commitment to the mission, vision and values of Sydney Catholic Schools</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills that build collaboration and quality relationships in working with others</li><li>A passion for working with students </li><li>Compliant with current PHO for school staff</li><li>Sydney Catholic Schools is committed to ensuring the safety of our staff, students and school communities.
