<p>St Thomas More Primary School, Belgrave is seeking a temporary part-time (0.2 FTE) Specialist STEM Teacher to join the team for 2022. St Thomas More Primary School, Belgrave provides a supportive and safe learning environment for students from Foundation to Year 6. St Thomas More strives to meet the needs of all students, providing a quality academic curriculum that develops the uniqueness and potential of each student. With access to new technology and 1:1 devices, St Thomas More encourages all students to pursue the highest level of achievement.</p><p>Teachers in a Catholic school have a unique role to play and are assigned with the task of ensuring each child has the opportunity to grow both academically and spiritually and to live purposeful lives. The teacher will promote the school as a place of learning and excellence in accordance with contemporary evidence-based learning and wellbeing principles (including digital learning) and will ensure the ongoing development and implementation of pedagogical practices that impact on student learning outcomes. </p><p>St Thomas More school community promotes the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children.</p><p>Essential Criteria</p><p>Willingness to actively support the Catholic identity of the school</p><p>Ability to apply appropriate knowledge in order to plan and prepare contemporary and engaging STEM lessons across the curriculum</p><p>Demonstrate passion, knowledge and skill in the teaching of STEM (a background in Science welcomed)</p><p>Teaching program to be aligned with the School’s inquiry sequence</p><p>Demonstrated ability to effectively collect and record data from units of work to optimise organisational and educational outcomes and provide evidence for reporting on specific curriculum areas</p><p>Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with school staff and members of the wider community in order to establish productive partnerships and achieve educational outcomes</p><p>Demonstrate an innovative and agile mindset that supports and enhances a culture of continuous improvement within the school environment</p><p>Evidence of excellent organisational and administrative skills</p><p>Current VIT registration</p><p>Proof of COVID vaccination status.</p><p> </p><p>Application Procedures</p><p>Please email a cover letter, resume with referees and the attached Application for Employment document to Caroline Quinton on the following email: principal&#64;smbelgrave.catholic.edu.au</p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p>
