<p>Pymble Ladies’ College is a school of the Uniting Church in Australia for girls Kindergarten to Year 12 with boarding from Year 7. We are proud to have passionate and dedicated staff who recognise the unique strengths and qualities of every Pymble girl. </p><h4><br /></h4><h4>The Role </h4><p>The College invites applicants for the following Assistant Head of Year (Boarding) positions. </p><ul><li>Part time 30 hours per week, 40 weeks per year – temporary parental leave cover from January – October 2022. </li><li>Part time 20 hours per week, 40 weeks per year – permanent role from January 2022 </li></ul><p>The Assistant Head of Year (Boarding) is responsible for providing support for the operational aspects of the Boarding House , ensuring that students are safe and supported in a strong and caring environment. The successful candidate will be assigned to a specific year group and will work collaboratively with the Head of Year (Boarding) and the leadership team. There is also the requirement to sleep overnight in the Boarding House while on duty. </p><p><i><br /></i></p><p><i>Responsibilities of the position include: </i></p><ul><li>Provide exemplary care to facilitate the holistic wellbeing of Boarders </li><li>Effective administrative support to Head of Year (Boarding) in running a Boarding House. </li><li>Develop positive and productive relationships with Boarders and their families. </li></ul><h4><br /></h4><h4>About you </h4><p>You will have: </p><ul><li>Previous experience in supporting and mentoring young people. </li><li>Demonstrated passion for working with students in a residential setting dedicated to supporting their physical, emotional, spiritual, academic and social needs. </li><li>Demonstrated interpersonal skills to sustain and develop quality and supportive relationships with Boarders, parents and staff. </li><li>Relevant Boarding specific qualifications including First Aid, Youth Mental Health First Aid, Duty of Care and Boarding Fundamentals are desirable.
