This position will be to support Aboriginal and Islander students from Transition to Year 6 and the focus will be in the three main areas of home and community liaison and engagement, input into teacher and school resources and student support.
<p><u></u>Key Responsibility:</p><p>The role of the AIEW is to support the education, engagement and retention of Indigenous students by; liaising with and actively engaging parents/carers and the wider family and community to build support and understanding of the education processes, building capacity and knowledge of school staff in Indigenous culture and culturally safe pedagogy as well as contributing to the development of culturally appropriate programs, including the delivery of a cultural education program to staff at the school.</p>

Holy Family Catholic Primary School is a small school situated in the northern suburbs of Darwin, it was established by the Ballarat Sisters of Mercy in 1983.
Our school continues to be a school of choice in the surrounding suburbs of Karama. There are currently 250 students in the school and ten classes.
Our Early Learning Centre (3 to 5 year old Long Day Care) is newly renovated and has new play equipment which is proving to be extremely popular with our young students!
