St Dominic’s College, Kingswood is a Catholic school in the Blessed Edmund Rice tradition conducted by Edmund Rice Education Australia. Founded by the Christian Brothers in 1959, the College has a current enrolment of 1000 boys, Years 7 – 12. <p>The College is looking to appoint a passionate, highly skilled Visual Arts Teacher who is committed to delivering quality teaching and learning experiences. Commencing Term 1, 2022 for a 12 month contract. </p><p>The role involves face-to-face teaching Visual Arts and Photography/Digital Media.</p><p>The successful applicant will be committed to the advancement of student learning and; </p><ul><li>Must have a strong commitment and/or appreciation of Catholic values, morals and faith. </li><li>Will be able to provide students with a positive learning environment, utilising strong communication and inter-personal skills. </li><li>Will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the unique pastoral needs of young men. </li><li>Must have a strong work ethic and a commitment to ongoing professional development. </li></ul><p><b>Highly desirable criteria:</b></p><ul><li>Experience teaching Stage 4 and 5 Visual Arts.</li><li>Qualifications and/or experience teaching Stage 5 Visual Design and/or Photographic and Digital Media and Stage 6 Visual Design and/or Photography, Video and Digital Imaging.</li><li>Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, In-Design, etc.</li><li>High ICT skillset within a contemporary blended learning environment.</li><li>Demonstrated passion for student-centred learning and a proven ability to effectively engage students.<br /></li><li>Excellent organisation and planning skills; must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities within given deadlines. </li><li>Be actively involved in, and supportive of, College co-curricular activities.<b> </b></li></ul><p>Applicants are encouraged to visit the College website <a href="http://www.stdominics.nsw.edu.au" rel="nofollow">www.stdominics.nsw.edu.au</a> for further information about the College.
