Marian Catholic College Kenthurst is seeking applications from suitably qualified / experienced Teachers Aide's / Learning Support Assistants. The position is temporary part-time for 2022. Ideally the applicant would be able to work 35 hours per fortnight, Monday to Wednesday, however, this may be able to be negotiated. Teacher's Aides / Learning Support Assistants provide assistance in the form of support to teachers, individuals and/or groups of students in a classroom setting. Applicants therefore the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, in a way that connects with the students, staff and parents, is essential. Applicants need to be comfortable working collaboratively in a team environment and be willing to be an active part of the Marian Community.

<p>Marian Catholic College is looking for a passionate and dedicated Teacher's Aide / Learning Support Assistant to provide support and assistance to our teachers for the 2022 school year.&nbsp;&nbsp;The position is temporary part-time for 2022 however, there is a possibility that this may be extended (dependent on funding). Ideally the applicant would be able to work 35 hours per fortnight, Monday to Wednesday, however, this may be able to be negotiated.</p> <p><strong>The ideal applicant will have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>the ability to work in a classroom under the direction of the class teacher and/or Learning Support Teacher</li> <li>the ability to work effectively as part of a team.</li> <li>strong communications skills with the ability to: <ul> <li>express what you are trying to communicate with students, parents and staff in a clear and concise manner and at the appropriate level</li> <li>inspire students to do their best</li> <li>communicate in a firm but friendly tone&nbsp;that encourages others to communicate with you</li> <li>foster positive relationships with students and staff that are collaborative and respectful</li> </ul> </li> <li>strong IT skills on various technological platforms (including iPads) and have: <ul> <li>the ability to utilise the required information technology in the classroom.</li> <li>the ability to trouble-shoot basic technical issues</li> </ul> </li> <li>flexibility in regard to the duties that may be requested of them.</li> <li>the ability to work under limited supervision.</li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Typical Experience and Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr">Tertiary qualifications in the relevant area of study or undertaking relevant training</li> <li dir="ltr">Appropriate demonstrated experience</li> </ul> <h4>How to Apply:</h4> <p>Please note: as per&nbsp;the current NSW Public Health Order, from 8 November 2021, it is mandated that all staff that work in schools and early learning centres must be able to show proof that they have received 2 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Applications MUST upload the following: (applications will not be accepted if you do not include all of the following requirements).</p> <ul> <li>cover letter detailing how your experience matches the selection criteria.</li> <li>a resume</li> <li>include days available</li> <li>copies of relevant TAFE/Uni transcripts</li> <li>contact details of THREE professional referees from within education that have been your supervisor and/or Principal.</li> <li>a copy of your Working with Children Check letter.</li> <li>your CEDP PIN or HRTC number (If you do not have either of these, please complete the <a href="https://ceo-web.parra.catholic.edu.au/ceoweb/login.htm" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">online registration process</a> to obtain an HRTC number).</li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>The Organisation</strong></p> <p><span>Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta provides quality learning and teaching in a faith-centred environment in its primary and secondary schools and for early learning and out of school hours care centres in western Sydney.
