<p dir="ltr">Marist Learning Zone (located in Mt Druitt)&nbsp; aims to&nbsp; provide assistance to secondary aged students who have disengaged from participating in a formal Catholic Education Diocese Parramatta school setting, to try and assist them to return to formal education or otherwise assist them to gain skills to enter or re-enter the workforce.</p> <p dir="ltr">We are part of Catholic Education – Diocese of Parramatta (CEDP) a system of schools committed to responding to the needs of students in a world that is changing rapidly. Marist Learning Zone is a partnership between Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta (CEDP) and Marist Schools Australia, through the Marist Brothers Lavalla 200 Community Project in Mt Druitt. The Leading Teacher responsible for supporting the system's strategic intent of improving learning outcomes for all students. More specifically you will:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Collaborate and consult with teachers and leaders to design and implement Learning, Wellbeing and Inclusion frameworks to improve learning outcomes for students with additional needs</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Contribute to the development and implementation of Student Services strategy within schools to develop whole school processes to improve student outcomes</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Mentor and collaborate with teachers to enable professional learning and develop capability to execute effective learning interventions</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Work systematically to conduct risk assessment and management plans</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Collaborate with school teams to promote partnerships with parents, carers and community</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>About you:</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment to the core purpose and values of CEDP along with:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Passion to make a difference to the lives of disengaged young people</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">High level of expertise in developing, implementing, monitoring&nbsp; and evaluating learning programmes and interventions for students&nbsp;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Demonstrated experience implementing programmes and strategies responsive to the wellbeing needs of students, increasing their engagement and attendance</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Developed the capacity of colleagues to respond to the wellbeing needs of students</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Experience working systemically with schools, families, staff and leaders.&nbsp;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Demonstrated expertise in engaging and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders in the delivery of learning initiatives</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Qualifications/Accreditation</strong></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Tertiary Qualification in Education</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Statements of Service</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children Check clearance</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">We believe that our employee community is a key strength of our organisation and we aim to attract the best talent to achieve our strategic goal of being leaders in quality, faith-based education and an Employer of Choice in our sector.
