We are an Anangu College in Central Australia, priding ourselves in providing secondary education across three remote communities and primary education in one (Docker River). All of our students are Anangu, with almost all speaking Pitjantjatjara as their first language. NC is the only secondary education provider south of Alice Springs, Northern Territory.</p><p><br /></p><p>NC belongs to the Association of Independent Schools of the Northern Territory (AISNT). We are passionate about working with Anangu to provide high-quality education for the young people in the region. </p><p><br /></p><p><b>What you will be doing</b></p><p>Nyangatjatjara College is now looking for passionate Primary/Secondary Teachers to join their team on a full-time basis. This exciting opportunity starts with a 12-month contract and offers the possibility of an extension. You will be teaching a variety of age groups, from Year 3 to Year 9.</p><p><br /></p><p>Your key responsibility as a teacher and member of the school community will be to develop, deliver, and evaluate learning programs and monitor student achievement to address individual learning needs. You will also engage and coordinate activities for your teaching area within the school and the wider community.</p><p><br /></p><p>More specifically, your core duties will include (but are not limited to):</p><p><br /></p><ul><li>Planning, preparing and delivering effective learning programs that are consistent with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers and relevant curriculum policies, work programs and educational needs;</li><li>Supporting students through interaction in a variety of settings and the active development of supportive learning environments and effective behaviour management practices; and </li><li>Developing and maintaining student records and reporting on student performance to stakeholders.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><b>What you will need to bring to the table</b></p><p>To succeed in this role, you will be a qualified teacher and have proven experience in both primary and secondary education. You will also have demonstrated knowledge and the ability to implement effective and inclusive teaching and learning processes that include learning technology and assessment to establish a challenging learning environment that encourages students to work to their full potential.</p><p><br /></p><p>You will be an adaptable individual who can apply appropriate behaviour management strategies that contribute to a supportive learning environment.</p><p><br /></p><p>Nyangatjatjara College is looking for a passionate and dedicated teacher who possesses strong organisational and problem-solving skills. As you are required to engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, communication and interpersonal skills are paramount.</p><p><br /></p><p>Please note: you are required to have an Ocher Card, Teacher&#39;s Registration and a Manual Driver&#39;s Licence with 4WD experience before commencement.
