We are always on the lookout for top talent to help us achieve our strategic goal of inspiring the future, through quality catholic schooling and by strengthening the professional lives of our employees.<br><br><strong>About the Roles:<br><br></strong>We are seeking experienced and passionate instrumental tutors to join the CAPTIVATE team on a permanent part-time basis.</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Violin Tutor - 1 day per week</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Cello Tutor - 2-3 days per week</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Woodwind Tutor - 2-4 days per week</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Music Administrator - 3-5 days per week</p> </li> </ul> <p>Our tutors are responsible for providing instrument specific education to students from years 3 to 12. More specifically you will:</p> <ul> <li>Deliver lessons to students in small groups, where requested, individually on a weekly basis both during school time and before or after school depending on spacing availability and student timetables</li> <li>Work collaboratively with students and families by providing regular feedback to students and biannual reports to parents</li> <li>Educate students on specific instruments to develop ensembles in both rehearsal and performance before and after school</li> <li>Lead ensembles and workshops under the guidance of the Specialist Teacher both during and after school hours</li> <li>Conduct maintenance, cleaning, tagging and logging of instruments</li> </ul> <p>Our music administrator will:</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate the timetabling and biannual reporting of the instrumental lesson program including liaising with parents and schools</li> <li>Coordinate, in collaboration with Instrumental Tutors and suppliers, the maintenance, assessment and inventory of all instruments across multiple schools</li> <li>Work collaboratively with Specialist Teachers in the creation of music literacy resources</li> <li>Support the classroom program as required</li> </ul> <p>The Music Administrator role can be combined with one of the above tutor positions, however, the successful applicant must be either a woodwind, brass or orchestral string player and have a willingness to support the music classroom program and/or small group lessons on their respective instrument where necessary.<br><br><strong>About You:</strong></p> <p>To be successful you will demonstrate alignment to our purpose and values, together with:</p> <ul> <li>Sound understanding of the learning environments, lesson plans, use of technology, teaching practices and delivery of assessment and learning feedback</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to work creatively and constructively to support diverse needs</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications and accreditations:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated experience</li> <li>Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children Check clearance</li> </ul> <p><strong>Interested?</strong><br><br>The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment including the completion of a National Police Check, retention of a valid Working with Children Check and adoption and compliance with CEDP’s Child Safeguarding Procedures and Code of Conduct When Working with Students and Children.
