The preferred candidate will be enthusiastic, keen to engage and inspire our students and staff, and be able to lead information literacy and technologies within the College.</p><p>You will be responsible for the leading the College library, and as such, you are a role model personally and professionally. The Selection Criteria for the Teacher Librarian position requires the applicant to explain, and provide examples if relevant.</b></p><ul><li>An understanding of and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic Church</li><li>Skills in maintaining an efficient and thorough system of identifying, organising, circulating and retrieving resources, specifically utilising the Oliver library system</li><li>An understanding of library collection management, including purchasing, budgeting and culling to ensure a balanced and rich collection to meet the needs of students and staff</li><li>Demonstrated exemplary classroom practice, utilising a range of effective contemporary pedagogies</li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary pedagogies, including flexible learning spaces and team teaching<br /></li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of information and communication technologies</li><li>Demonstrated ability to support the continual development of information literacy for staff and students, with the intention of building lifelong learners</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work effectively across a range of teams to support their collaborative goals in alignment with the school plan</li><li>Ability to manage contemporary library spaces to accommodate a range of purposes and audiences, such as student wellbeing, study groups, staff learning and literacy activities</li><li>Demonstrated ability to develop innovative programs to engage students in a love of reading</li><li>Effective communication and engagement skills with students, staff and parents<br /></li><li>Proven ability to work collegially within a team environment</li><li>Demonstrated a commitment to growing the College&#39;s culture of learning and thinking</li><li>Have led whole school student learning as a KLA Coordinator or Member of a College Executive</li></ul><p>This position requires the successful applicant to obtain and maintain a valid Working with Children Clearance.</p><p><br /></p><p><b>Closing Date: Friday 5 November 2021</b><br /></p>
