<p>Catholic schools have been delivering excellence in education to Sydney school students for 200 years. Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) continues to be a thriving and growing contemporary educational community with over 150 schools, more than 71,000 current students, 10,000 staff and a large alumni community. </p><p><b>Location</b>: Central Office, Leichhardt (relocating to World Square in 2022) </p><p><b>Commencement Date:</b> Immediate Start (or by negotiation)</p><p><b>The Role </b></p><p>The Network Diverse Learning Officer role focuses on coordinating a system of support to improve outcomes for students with diverse learning needs across SCS school networks. </p><p>The successful candidate for this position will be a highly effective leader responsible for: </p><ul><li>Ensuring all NCCD processes are central to the work of school Diverse Learning teams and are seen as integral informants to creating learning goals and careful monitoring of students’ progress. </li><li>Leading the planning and implementation of teacher capacity-building strategies and evaluating the impact of such initiatives. </li><li>Facilitating the delivery of blended professional learning modules across the breadth of disability. </li><li>Contributing to a contemporary approach to diverse learning needs support across SCS, utilising a range of assistive technologies. </li><li>Participating in and actively contributing to team professional learning focused on NESA syllabus requirements K-12 and contributing to skilling team members to respond to a range of disability needs across cognitive, sensory, physical, social and emotional disability. </li><li>Supporting schools in expanding students&#39; educational opportunities and functional independence including fulsome and accurate system-level record keeping. </li><li>Supporting school leaders and teachers in understanding statistical analysis utilising school and network data, demographics, and other key information to prepare reports on student outcomes. </li></ul><p><b>The Person </b></p><p>The successful candidate will also possess the following qualifications and experience: </p><ul><li>University degree in Education or Teaching. </li><li>Five years minimum teaching experience in a school. </li><li>Experienced in leading staff in professional learning. </li><li>Demonstrated success improving student outcomes. </li><li>Demonstrated success in implementing school wide initiatives. </li><li>Experienced in using data analysis to inform educational initiatives. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to articulate contemporary educational trends in both local and international contexts. </li><li>Willingness to respect, support and uphold the mission, ethos and teachings of the Catholic Church and the values of Sydney Catholic Schools. </li></ul><p>Additionally: </p><ul><li>Education Specialists are required to be qualified and accredited teachers with NESA. </li><li>Education Specialists are required to operate at the Highly Accomplished or Lead level of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers. </li></ul><p><b>The Process </b></p><p>To apply for this position please click on the APPLY button and follow the prompts. </p><p>For any internal candidates please apply via your ‘Careers tile’ in Employee Self Service. </p><p>To support your application, you will be required to provide: </p><ul><li>Your current resume </li><li>Cover letter </li></ul><p>If you encounter technical issues or for any general enquiries please contact the People &amp; Culture Services team on (02) 9568 8297 (Mon-Fri). </p><p><b>Working With Children Check (WWCC) </b></p><p>This role is classified as child-related work and therefore requires a WWCC clearance prior to commencement of employment. </p><p><b>OUR MISSION </b></p><p><i>To know and love Christ through learning. </i></p><p><b>OUR VISION </b></p><p><i>Thriving Catholic communities through excellent teaching and learning. </i></p><p><b>OUR VALUES </b></p><p><i>Truth, empathy, excellence, curiosity and collaboration. </i></p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
